Recently, the Food Business Division of Namdo Nongsan studies and explores functional bioactivities of natural resources within the regions, and also engages in development of functional food products using bitter melon designed to prevent andropause. Key products include bitter melon PET beverage, bitter melon tea-bag and roasted bitter melon. Taking a step further, the Company accelerates development and commercialization of high-functional biomaterials for men’s health using bitter melon, explores natural resources for oriental medicine for treatment of digestive tract disease and immunological enhancement, and pioneers new opportunities in food business venues after the GABA project using mealworm beetles was selected lately. Moreover, with completed construction of a food factory featured with state-of-the-art processing equipment and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) in June of 2016, the Company fully mobilizes the production of various tea products and beverage utilizing bitter melon, sword beans, Jerusalem artichokes and burdocks.
